Steve Cartner

A veteran of the Whistler real estate market, Steve Cartner has been assisting his clients with their real estate needs since moving to the resort in 1997. The move was a huge change for Steve and his family, moving from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong to the rather more laid back mountain life here in beautiful British Columbia. But they settled in quickly, recognizing they had made the right choice. The two daughters have enjoyed the experience of growing up in a small, diverse and welcoming community, while Steve and Wendy have embraced the challenge of being the first in their families to move to Canada.

Steve has actually had a successful real estate career since 1989. Prior to the move to Whistler he was working in the commercial sector, spending many years with the Vancouver and Hong Kong offices of Colliers International. And, interesting to some, Steve is a former Detective Inspector with The Royal Hong Police. He then spent a couple of years as a private investigator and has also served as the Coroner here in The Sea to Sky Corridor.

Steve has seen a lot of the world, as a tourist and in a work capacity. As examples, Steve has worked on sales and marketing teams in resort real estate projects in The Turks and Caicos Islands, Mauritius, The Philippines, Dubai and Colorado. More recently, he was engaged as a consultant to assist with the real estate master plan of Secret Garden, the host location for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
