The family of a missing Masset woman is offering a $25,000 reward for information on her whereabouts.
Shaylanna Meaghan Lewis, 23, has been missing since March 21.
Masset RCMP launched air and ground searches around Haida Gwaii in the days after Lewis was reporting missing. The searches proved fruitless and police say there have been no reported sightings of Lewis in the months since.
“The investigation into Shaylanna Lewis remains active and ongoing but police are no closer to finding out what happened to her,” the RCMP said in a release.
Monica Brown, Lewis’s mother, is hopeful the $25,000 reward will lead to someone coming forward with new information that will help police find her daughter.
“Shaylanna is dearly missed. If you have any information please phone local RCMP or Crime Stoppers. No matter how small it may be, it could be the missing piece of the puzzle that is needed to find Shaylanna,” Brown said in a statement.
Lewis is described by police as an Indigenous woman who stands 5-feet-7 and weighs around 174 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes and had recently shaved both her head and eyebrows.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call Masset RCMP at (250) 626-3991 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
