B.C. Ferries cancelled a pair of Friday morning sailings between Tsawwassen and Southern Gulf Island due to high winds.
The 8:20 a.m. sailing out of Sturdies Bay on Galiano Island and the 9:55 a.m. departure out of Tsawwassen aboard the Salish Raven have been scrapped due to windy conditions through Active Pass.
“The safety of our passengers and crew is of primary importance to us. We don’t take the decision to cancel sailings lightly, as we know customers rely on us to get to their destinations. We will resume service as soon as it is safe to do so,” B.C. Ferries said in a notice.
