A number of new COVID-19 exposures have been announced for B.C. schools over the Halloween weekend.
Chilliwack appeared to have been hardest hit, with 11 new exposures announced on Nov. 1. No exposure dates were given for any of the Chilliwack school exposures.
Those schools include A.D. Rundel Middle School, Chilliwack Middle School, Chilliwack Senior Secondary, G.W. Graham Secondary, Little Mountain Elementary, Rosedale Traditional Community School, Sardis Secondary, Unsworth Elementary School, Vedder Elementary School and Vedder Middle School.
French immersion school Ecole La Vérendrye, also located in Chilliwack, was also the site of possible exposure in recent weeks. No dates were given.
Families at Lord Tennyson Elementary in Vancouver were contacted on Nov. 1 to alert them of a possible COVID-19 exposure. No exposure dates were available. Families at John Oliver Secondary also learned Oct. 31 of a second exposure incident, though no dates were provided
Meanwhile, families at Vancouver independent school St. John’s School were also notified Nov. 1 of possible exposure to the virus on Oct. 26, 27 and 28, while families at Vancouver College learned Oct. 31 of their fourth exposure incident though no dates were available.
In North Vancouver , families were notified Sunday about possible exposures at Carson Graham Secondary on Oct. 27, 28 and 29, while on Saturday, Highlands Elementary families were told of possible exposures on Oct. 26, 27 and 28.
West Vancouver families at West Vancouver Secondary were warned of possible exposures on Oct. 26, 27 and 28.
In Mission , Hope Secondary School families were contacted about possible exposure, though no specific dates were given.
Families at Surrey independent school Khalsa Secondary were contacted over the weekend of possible exposure on Oct. 20, 21 and 22, while families at Newton’s Sikh Academy were warned of exposures on Oct. 19, 20, 21, 22 and 26.
Green Timbers Elementary families were also notified Oct. 31 of the school’s second exposure incident, with possible exposure on Oct. 21 and 22.
In Langley , families at Global Montessori were notified of updated possible exposures dates, including Oct. 19, 20, 21, 23 and 26.
Coquitlam Alternate Basic Education families were also told Oct. 31 of possible exposures on Oct. 15, 16, 19, 23 and 26.
