The agency made the announcement Thursday morning, but did not release any details. IHIT will hold a news conference in Squamish at 10 a.m.
In June 2017, IHIT was called in to investigate after a man’s body was found in a burned vehicle near Squamish.
RCMP responded to a complaint of a burned vehicle on the Cheekye Forest Road just North of Squamish on June 14, 2017.
When police arrived they located a male victim inside the vehicle and contacted IHIT. The vehicle was a 2000 red GMC Yukon XL.
More to come…
